GEO audit
A GEO audit for how AI actually describes you.
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is about the sentence an AI assistant writes when someone asks about your category. We test what the models can learn about you from public signals, then score how accurate, distinctive and citable that picture is.

GEO here means generative engine optimization — not geotechnical or location auditing. A GEO audit evaluates how well a generative AI assistant can describe your brand accurately from publicly available evidence: your website, listings, reviews, social profiles and founder footprint. It scores whether the picture is correct, whether it is distinctive, and whether there is enough corroborating evidence for a model to cite you with confidence.

What we look for
Describability
Whether an assistant reading only public sources can state what you do, who you do it for and why you are different, without inventing anything.
Entity and fact consistency
Name, category, services, locations and claims that agree across every public source. Contradictions make models hedge or omit you.
Corroborating evidence
Third-party mentions, reviews, listings and directory presence that let a model verify what your own site says.
Distinctiveness
Whether your language separates you from category boilerplate. Generic positioning gets summarised as a generic competitor.
Founder and authority signals
Named humans, credentials and published thinking that give a model a reason to attribute expertise to your brand.
Reputation and sentiment
Review presence and tone across platforms, and how that shapes the framing an assistant repeats back to a buyer.
Common questions
- What does GEO stand for in a GEO audit?
- In this context GEO stands for generative engine optimization — how AI assistants and generative search describe and cite your brand. It is not a geotechnical or location-based audit.
- How is GEO different from AEO?
- AEO is about whether a machine can extract a direct answer from your pages. GEO is about the picture a generative model forms of your brand overall, from every public signal, and whether it repeats that picture accurately.
- Can you control what AI says about my brand?
- Not directly. You influence it by making the public evidence clear, consistent and corroborated. The audit shows which signals are missing, contradictory or working against you.
- Is the GEO audit free?
- Yes. The public-data scan and the emailed report are free and use publicly accessible information. Optional brand materials or an authorized read-only account connection can deepen the analysis, but are never required. Fixing what it finds is a separate paid engagement.
- What sources do you check?
- Your website, plus any social profiles, listings, review platforms and founder pages you add during intake. Anything we cannot reach is reported as reduced data coverage rather than scored as a zero.
- What do I get in the report?
- A weighted Brand Health Score, individual scores across twelve categories including GEO and AI visibility, evidence-backed findings with severity and confidence, data coverage, quick wins and strategic priorities.
