Questions
Brand audit questions, answered.
- What is a brand audit?
- A brand audit is a structured evaluation of how clearly, consistently and credibly a business presents itself across every public surface — website, search results, AI answers, social profiles, reviews and listings. It identifies what is working, what is contradicting itself, and what is missing.
- What does the Brand Health Audit check?
- Twelve scored categories: brand strategy and messaging, visual identity, entity consistency, website experience and technical health, conversion and customer journey, SEO visibility, AEO readiness, GEO and AI visibility, reputation and sentiment, social and content presence, founder and authority signals, and paid media (scored only when you connect a read-only ad account).
- How long does the audit take?
- The scan itself runs in a few minutes. The intake takes about five minutes if you want the deeper analysis, and the full report is emailed to you as soon as the scan completes.
- Is the Brand Health Audit free?
- Yes. The public-data scan and report are free. No credit card or sales call is required. You may optionally provide brand materials, business context or authorized read-only account access for deeper analysis, but these inputs are never required.
- What is the difference between the score and data coverage?
- The Brand Health Score measures observed performance. Data coverage measures how much of your public footprint we were able to reach. If a platform blocks our scan, that source is excluded from the score rather than counted as a zero, and coverage drops instead.
- What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?
- SEO is visibility in classic search results. AEO — answer engine optimization — is whether your pages answer questions in a form an answer engine can extract and quote. GEO — generative engine optimization — is whether AI assistants can describe and recommend your brand accurately. The audit scores all three separately.
- Do you need access to my website or analytics?
- No. The initial Brand Health Audit uses publicly accessible information. You can optionally upload brand guidelines or connect an authorized read-only account so we can compare your intended standards against what your brand actually renders.
- Does the audit use private information?
- The initial scan uses publicly accessible business and professional information. We access non-public information only when you deliberately upload materials or authorize a connected account. These optional inputs are used to improve the audit's data coverage and are handled according to our Privacy Policy.
- How is paid media scored?
- Paid media is assessed only when you voluntarily connect an authorized read-only advertising account. If no account is connected, paid media is marked Not assessed and is excluded from the Brand Health Score.
- What happens after I get the report?
- The report is a diagnostic: it names the signals, the evidence and the commercial implication. If you want the causes fixed, you can book a review of your results with The Branded Agency or engage us for copywriting and brand strategy work.
