Brand health benchmarks

Most brand advice is opinion. These numbers are not. Every figure below comes from a completed brand health audit run on this site, scored against the same checklist, and reported as an average so no business is identified.

What we find across every brand we audit

Average brand health score: 72 out of 100, across 11 audits between August 2026 and September 2026. Scores ranged from 34 to 95.

Strongest area: visual identity (average 86).

Figures come from completed audits on this site and are refreshed regularly. No individual business is named. See the full benchmark report or run a free audit to see where you land against it.

How these numbers are produced

  • What is measured. Every audit scores the same fixed checklist across brand strategy, messaging, consistency, reputation, search, answer-engine and AI visibility. A category score is the weighted share of its checks that pass.
  • Who is included. Only completed audits with a finished report. Abandoned and failed runs are excluded entirely.
  • Anonymity. An industry appears only once at least 8 brands have been audited in it. No business name, website address or individual finding is ever published here.
  • Freshness. Figures are recomputed on a schedule from the current audit record, most recently covering August 2026 and September 2026.

Who fixes what the data shows

The failures behind these averages fall into a handful of work types. The Brand Health Audit is built by The Branded Agency, and these are the teams that do the fixing.

  • Branding

Positioning, messaging and brand story — the categories that score lowest most often.

  • Website Design, Dev & Optimization

Site speed, accessibility and conversion journeys behind the technical scores.

  • AI Content Studio

Content structured so answer engines and AI assistants can quote and recommend you.

  • Content Marketing

Search and content work that lifts the SEO fundamentals measured here.
